To fix this, go to Settings->MIDI->MIDI-in and set CC-Mod to ‘on’. This will configure any incoming patch CC messages to be treated as just modulation control messages (instead of setting patch and UI values). This will prevent the synths LCD from freezing and improve the response to incoming MIDI CCs.
Please note that you need OS version 1.02-02 or higher to access this option.
